Stiebel Eltron honoured as a finalist for the German Sustainability Award Heat pump manufacturer is a pioneer in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technology

Stiebel Eltron is one of the three finalists with the most sustainable concepts for heating, ventilation and cooling and is therefore considered a pioneer in the industry - this is the conclusion reached by the jury of the German Sustainability Award for Companies. With innovative and resource-saving ideas, the Lower Saxony-based manufacturer and one of the leading suppliers of heat pumps is driving forward the heat transition and the path to climate neutrality.

"The vision of a sustainable future is what has driven us at Stiebel Eltron since our foundation 100 years ago. Every day, we work to make our environmentally friendly products for providing room heating and cooling, hot water and ventilation in buildings even more sustainable in order to significantly reduce CO2 emissions worldwide," says Dr Kai Schiefelbein, CEO of Stiebel Eltron. "However, we are not only making a contribution to a sustainable future with our products: we recognise our responsibility and therefore take environmental protection and social concerns into account in all our decisions. The fact that the jury of the German Sustainability Award sees us as one of the pioneers in our industry with our products and our mission shows us that we are on the right track."

Sustainability Manager Sara Lohr adds: "The German Sustainability Award is the national award for excellence in sustainability in business, local authorities and research, and the greatest prize of its kind in Europe. We are very proud that Stiebel Eltron is one of the top three companies in its category and that our work has been honoured in this way."

German Sustainability Award

The German Sustainability Award identifies companies from a hundred different sectors that have successfully embarked on the long, complex road to sustainability. A jury of experts from research, associations, business and civil society then defines the finalists and a winner, who are recognised as pioneers in their sector.
