Our filtration technology

UF

Ultrafiltration is the key technology of STIEBEL ELTRON’s water filtration systems, using hollow fibre membranes with a pore size down to 0.01 microns. This method is mainly found in the food, beverage and medical industries.

No electricity or storage tank required. No drain water and the technology retains natural minerals in the drinking water.

Ultrafiltration technology provides absolutely bacteria-free drinking water for you and your family.

NANO

Nanofiltration uses extremely fine fibres to form an enormous free surface area to catch particles and cause them to coalesce. STIEBEL ELTRON innovated the EPM nano membrane coated with electro positive charges to remove 99.9999 % of bacteria (Bacillus, E. Coli and Staphylococcus aureus) and 99.99 % of viruses (Norovirus).

Nanofiltration provides microbiologically safe and clean drinking water.

RO

Reverse osmosis technology is used to remove a large majority of contaminants by forcing the water under pressure through a semi-permeable membrane to reduce calcium hardness, ionised salts, organic molecules and metallic ions. It also removes bacteria and viruses.

Even though RO technology needs electricity and a storage tank, and produces drain water, the STIEBEL ELTRON EFRO ECO patented RO membrane filter comes with a user friendly plug & play cartridge changing system and has the lowest wastewater ratio that an RO water filter can achieve.
